River Dee Grilse from Lower Crathes

I had a day on the River Dee at Lower Crathes and West Durris courtesy of my pal, Paul Pritchard as he couldn't make. It was great to be back fishing such a classic River Dee beat and in the company of Robert Harper and Jordie Sinclair. The water levels were hovering around the 5" mark on the Park gauge but despite the low water conditions I was lucky enough to bump into a wee grilse in the Upper Bridge Pool. It was no more than 3lb in weight but it was very welcome!

Safely in the net!
A quick photo before slipping it back into the river.
